NGOExpo 2018 Mumbai, an official event of UN Global Impact, is a leading Global showcase event for non-profits and development sector. NGOExpo 2018 Mumbai had leading Corporations, Organizations, Foundations, Social Entrepreneurs, Philanthropists and NGO’s participating. We thought this global scale event is the right opportunity to showcase SociallyGood and receive valuable feedback.
We participated at NGOExpo 2018, with lot of trepidation. We had not anticipated the kind of response we received. We had more than 100 walk-ins to our booth, major representation was from NGO and foundations. Three of us managing the stream of visitors posed quite a challenge, but one that was worth every moment. Attendees from NGO’s connected to our pitch in few minutes and were keen to understand how SociallyGood alleviates the problem on fundraising & volunteering side.
Simplicity of our solution and the economics of our offer (life time free for limited load and low cost paid up options) drew a positive response from them. Attendees felt our pricing was very affordable and high value compared to what they see in market. What really impressed them was seeing about 6-9 solutions including fund raising, volunteer management, payment gateway, social media, etc all integrated on just one platform. We were really blown away by the enthusiasm of the attendees patiently waiting for their turns to talk to us and share their experience about SociallyGood.
Representative of companies with CSR charters appreciated the gap we are filling for the social sector. Many had kind words of encouragement and positive feedback on beneficiary management. They felt SociallyGood Platform can provide 360 degree view of the non-profits work, their campaigns, volunteers and the impact of outcomes thus making CSR management more effective and transparent. CSR Consultants, Individuals and students who walked in shared their enthusiasm with our platform.
An unexpected turn of event was a speaking slot to our Managing Director on the second day of the event. Mr Bhaskar touched upon technology solutions, and social good. He shared emerging trends of how AI, Social media, smart payments and social networks likely to impact the social sector. Participants enriched the session by many interesting queries during Q&A. It was a exhilarating experience.
For a startup, early right feedback & encouragement makes a huge difference. Thank you NGO Expo for providing us an opportunity to showcase SociallyGood to the world and spreading the cheer on good work.
